John E. Ray
Paralegal, Superior Court Division
Education: John is a graduate of Benedict College, Columbia, South Carolina with a Bacholers Degree in Political Science. He also has an Associate Degree from Columbia Junior College in Paralegal Studies.
Background: John assists trial attorneys in all aspects of trial preparation, including client and witness interviews, legal research, drafting and filing, motions and legal documents and preparing trial notebooks and exhibits. John moved to Georgia in March 2001 to except a Paralegal position with the Fulton County Conflict Defender, Inc. (FCCD). John is very active with his fraternity Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He is also a member of the Georgia Association of Paralegals, Inc. (GAP).
Before joining FCCD, John was a Paralegal with Okpalake Law Firm, and with the Richland County Public Defenders Office, Columbia, South Carolina. Also, he did extensive research for Attorney Eve Carlin, Professor, Columbia Junior College, Columbia, South Carolina assisting her in writing an article trying to implement "Emotional Distress" as a grounds for divorce in the State of South Carolina published in the South Carolina Law Review.
