Education: Received a B.S. in Psychology from Trevecca Nazarene University; received his MSW from the University of Georgia School of Social Work.
Professional Work: Worked as a Therapist Assistant with LifeCare, formerly known as the Cobb Center for Behavioral therapy. Conducted Personality Assessments, organized and led Social Skills/Anger Management groups.
Spent a one-year Internship at The Deberry Special Needs Facility in Nashville, TN (a maximum security prison for the criminally insane). Conducted Psycho-Social assessments for Parole Evaluations, Individual and Group therapy, Case Management, and participated in most staffings.
Held a counselor III position at Three Springs Inc.-an Outdoor Wilderness Therapy Program in Blueridge, GA. for boys 8-18. Case Management, Individual and Group therapy, very intensive Social Skills Training, Life Management, Peer Support, Survival Skills Training, and strong consistent regimen. The program is American Indian based-"Medicine Wheel".
Graduate Internship at the Community Service Board in Lilburn, GA. A day treatment facility for the seriously mentally ill (Schizophrenia, Manic Depression, Bi-Polar, and other personality disorders). Career planning, Individual and group therapy, Case Management, Job Placement, and Advocacy.
Co-developed a Family Enrichment and Domestic Violence Prevention Program for the Hispanic Communities in Athens, GA. The program will be implemented by the Catholic Social Services, in Athens.
Career Aspirations: Besides continuing to try and save the world, I would like to revamp the entire Correctional System and abolish the Death Penalty. In my spare time, I would like to secure a career as a Forensics Social Worker in the realm of the Judicial System and /or Corrections. Lastly, to become a wonderful and unconditional loving father.
